Alifabs is one of the founder members of a group called Azimuth. Azimuth is a consortium of companies brought together to offer a complete 'turn-key' package modular Air Traffic Control Tower. This exciting new generation of modular control towers has been developed for local and smaller regional airports. The AZIMUTH towers are pre-designed, assembled, installed and equipped, ready for operation. This process means that the tower structure, environmental services, and ATC equipment are provided through a single point of contact. Site location assessment, viability, and navaids clear- arc surveys can also be prepared. Most important, the AZIMUTH range enables you to expand, upgrade, or relocate the tower, with minimum effort and minimum cost. The Azimuth towers, designed to conform to world -wide climatic and earthquake conditions, are built up in 2.8m storey modules, offering vision heights that range from 4.6m to 13.0m. The tower, prefabricated as a clad structural steel box frame supports our 30m² rectangular cab. The cab provides you with a 360 degree vision through 28mm solar controlled laminated glass, and accommodates up to 3 controllers working in an air-conditioned environment. AZIMUTH can also offer you a range of options to suit your specific needs. These include tower heights, levels of ATC equipment specification, external finishes, and the arrangement of accommodation spaces.
